50-year-old female
History
A 50-year-old female with a history of ovarian Ca. She completed a course of radiation therapy of the pelvic region and was referred for evaluation of recurrent disease.
PET/CT Findings
The PET/CT scan identified a focus of abnormal FDG uptake in a lesion in the left pelvis, separate from and lateral to the ureter.
Change in treatment plan
A laparotomy located a tissue mass in the left obturator lymph node area, as identified by the PET/CT. Pathology confirmed malignancy of the mass.
