49-year-old male
History
A 49-year-old male with metastatic renal cell cancer of the left kidney.
Original Diagnosis
The PET scan was performed following a left nephrectomy and four month treatment with IL-2 and interferon.
PET/CT Findings
The PET/CT scan showed increased FDG uptake in a lobulated soft tissue mass in the left renal surgical bed. The larger, lateral portion of the tumor appears to be necrotic.
