19-year-old female
History
A 19-year-old female with chest pain, widened superior mediastinum, possible mass.
CT Findings
2-18-02: Large anterior mediastinal mass with diagnostic possibilities including teratom, thymoma, lymphoma or possibly a thyroid gland mass.
PET Findings
PET Findings 3-1-02: Diagnosis was made via a biopsy of a right cervical lymph node. Study is requested for staging. Patient has already started chemotherapy. PET scan shows extensive active lymphoma involving the right neck and mediastinum. PET Findings 5-17-02: Patient has completed chemotherapy. Study requested for restaging. PET scan shows interval complete resolution of the multi-focal active lymphoma seen on the prior PET exam.
