Lymphoma - 37-year-old male who developed left anterior chest wall pain






History
37-year-old male who developed left anterior chest wall pain. CT exam demonstrated extensive mediastinal adenopathy and pericardial adenopathy. Biopsy of the left axillary mass demonstrated lymphoma. Patient referred for initial staging.

PET Findings
There is significant bulky uptake in the chest. It involves most of the anterior superior mediastinum and the pericardial space. The abnormality extends anterior to the left hepatic lobe. This on CT exam, is still within the chest. There is also significant chest wall uptake, mainly in the left pectoralis muscle. On CT exam, the patient has enlarged left pectoralis minor and major muscles. There is significant left axillary lymphadenopathy uptake, as well as bilateral supraclavicular uptake. The liver is homogeneous. No other abnormality is seen in the pelvis or abdomen.
