Lung Cancer - 47-year-old female





History
A 47-year-old year old female with non-small cell lung cancer. A PET scan was ordered to evaluate for distant metastases.

CT Findings
The CT scan showed large spiculated lesions in the left upper lobe and right upper lobe of the lungs.

PET Findings
The whole-body FDG PET scan confirmed the two lesions that were seen on the CT scan. There were no reported distant lesions.

Dosage
9.8 mCi FDG

Imaging
ECAT ART,5 bed positions

Change in treatment plan
Based on the findings of the PET and CT scans the patient will undergo chemotherapy and radiation therapy to treat the disease. The patient will also have follow-up PET scans, to monitor the response to therapy, and to further evaluate for distant metastases.
